• Airtight Verification Process

When you sign up on Payday, you are required to verify your email and upload a Government-issued ID that confirms who you really are.

These checks help us prevent fraud, identity theft, and financial crimes, in addition to keeping you and other customers safe.

• Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security process that requires you to provide an extra layer of identification to access your account.

We introduced the 2FA to the app where you have to enter an OTP before you access your account during log-in and withdrawals.

• Biometric Authentication

Biometric authentication uses unique biological characteristics such as fingerprints or facial recognition, to verify your identity. On your Payday app, you can also enable biometric authentication that allows you to use your fingerprint/Face ID to sign in to your account. We do this just to make sure it’s you who is requesting access to your account.

• Bank-grade Compliance & Fraud Protection

We use fraud protection measures to detect and prevent fraudulent activities on the platform. In simpler terms, this means that we monitor your account activity for suspicious transactions and set up alerts for unusual activity, by using machine learning algorithms to identify patterns of fraudulent behavior. 

If we identify transactions on your account that don’t seem quite like you, we temporarily restrict your account, and ask that you verify your identity before you proceed. All of these measures are put in place to safeguard your account. 

How Else Do We Keep Your Money Safe?

• Payday uses encryption to safeguard your financial data from being intercepted by hackers. 

• We never ask you for sensitive details about your account. We will NEVER ask you to send money to another account or share your password/PIN.
  
• Payday will never ask you for your OTP or send you a link to click on. Please be alert.
